Moving fun…
I’m in the middle of moving into my new place and things are going pretty good, even though I procrastinated on some important stuff like say getting utilities turned on. But now it seems very realistic that I can be moved in by this weekend, just gotta make sure I get some time to move some big things like my bed Friday evening because that looks like it’s going to be the only dry day for a while. Then I can spend Saturday running back and forth moving all the studio stuff, that should only take like 4 or 5 trips depending on if I can rope in some friends to help.
If all goes well I’ll be sleeping there on Friday May 1st, which is the day I kept commiting myself to being moved in by, yaaaaay. Saturday can be moving/organizing day and pulling records for Kate and Dave’s wedding in Astoria on Sunday. Daaaang, I’m gonna be busy tonight, better get some more boxes.

I just got word from A-Minus he’s sick and can’t make it out and I’m too tired from the new job and moving stuff so even though I hate to do it I’m going to cancel on the Good Neighbor Pizza dj’ing tonight.
Look for A-Minus and myself to be back next week where I know I’ll be long, strong and full of wrong.

It’s Thursday again which means that DJ A-Minus and myself are going to be spinning hip-hop, funk and dance records from 7 to Midnight at Good Neighbor Pizzeria. If you’re looking for a chill spot to relax and snag a bite of some tasty food come on out to the hippest pizza shop in the hood.

Rocked so hard it took me 2 days to recover
Yeah the roots were something amazing, it takes some serious skill to make playing the tuba seem cool. I don’t even know where to start, the night was too much fun and the show was just off the hook crazy. I’m still too tired to put it all together in my head, I just know the night started with drinks at Rogue Brewpub, my friends and I got to the Roots show just as they were taking stage, and well the afterparty at Someday Lounge was too crazy busy so we hit up ground kontrol for some good ol arcade action, and ended up with a brief visit to Mary’s Club.
In the famous words of Jerry Blank “Good times, gooooooood times.”

Thanks again to everyone who made it out to good neighbor pizza last night, it was mad fun and I left a small stack of free cds with Ryan so if you happen to pop in there ask him and he should be able to give you a copy unless he runs out. I also talked to A-Minus and we’re going to collab on a new mixtape as soon as I finish with my move and get the studio set back up, look for that to come through in May.
That being said it’s Friday, I’m feeling good and The Roots are at the Roseland Theatre tonight. I’ve got my ticket, do you have yours?
Good Neighbor Pizza tonight, Roots tomorrow
I’m going to be spinning records with DJ A-Minus at Good Neighbor Pizza again tonight and I’ll bring some copies of my new mixtape (the one that I haven’t gotten around to posting on my wordpress yet). It should be a good night, and tomorrow night at Good Neighbor singer/songwriter Megan Callahan will be playing at set starting at 9pm.
I wish I could be there to see Megan I hear great things about her but I’ve got tickets to see The Roots on Friday and well, it’s the roots mofo, respect.
I’ve also got a new house I’m moving into and a new day job I’m starting in a couple weeks so updates may be a little sporadic while I’m getting all of that straightened out.

I got a new tape to sling around, now I just need to figure out this wordpress nonsense and how I can upload it to share with the world. Next update I will have my mixtape posted.
Beer or no beer, I’m still spinning tonight
Just a quick update, I got word from the promoter that Duke’s Landing has some problems with the OLCC so they will not be serving alcohol tonight and I won’t be able to buy a beer for ya if you come out 
I’m still showing up though so if you feel like coming out I’ll be spinning from 9 to 10pm and I’ll have some mixtapes that I will be handing out

Duke’s Landing Saturday April 4th
First off just want to say thanks to everyone who came out to Good Neighbor Pizza last night to catch me and A-Minus spinning records. I’m definately feelin the love from y’all and it’s what keeps me doing what I do.
That said, if you’re looking for something a little relaxed to start your saturday night before hitting the clubs come check me out at Duke’s Landing on 2715 SE Belmont St. I’ll be going on at 9pm mixing 80’s, hip-hop and rock till about 10pm. Come out early around 8 and you can catch up with me, I’ll sling a mixtape your way and buy ya a beer.
Upcoming events
Tonight I will be at Good Neighbor Pizzeria on 800 NE Dekum St. Portland, OR from 7pm to Midnight. I’ll be spinning hip-hop and more along with DJ A-Minus.
Saturday April 4th I will be playing at Duke’s Landing at 2715 SE Belmont, Portland, OR as part of a DJ night. The music will start at 8pm with Hippinshlong, then I will play from 9pm to 10pm, and Valentine Lyon will play from 10 to close. Come out and see me Saturday, the venue has a weird contract with the OLCC so last call at Duke’s will be around 11:30 so come out and prefunk with me before wilding out for the rest of Saturday night.
